Abduction Cold Case quote

Abduction Cold Case Review

What would you do if you found out you were adopted more than twenty-five years after it happened? Worse, what if someone wanted to kill you to keep the truth from coming out? That was the situation Kennedy found herself in and it was a doozy.

Oh my, this book was a fast read! I was hooked from page one when Kennedy showed up for her appointment and everything started falling apart. The action was fast-paced as the characters were attacked, chased, and shot at.

I liked the way Silas jumped in to aid Kennedy though her resourcefulness and willingness to fight showed that she wasn’t a helpless damsel. Through it all, Kennedy could depend on Silas who stuck with her offering her his protection and help.

Silas and Kennedy’s characters show the impact events in the past can have on a person as both of them chose careers because of their experiences as children. I liked the way the two characters interacted with each other. Silas was understanding about how Kennedy felt having everything she believed to be truly dismantled.

Kennedy was a sweet character. Though she was under extreme pressure as she fought to stay alive, she still showed concern for the people in her life, even those she’d recently met.

The romance elements were mild but the reader gets to see Silas and Kennedy make attempts to get to know each other better.

I enjoyed reading Abduction Cold Case though there were some threads that were not fully resolved at the end. This was a fun read that kept me engrossed from beginning to end.

Readers will be reminded that as independent as we may think we are, it’s okay to ask for help. God wants us to depend on Him but He also provides people as our support system.

If you like the woman in peril, cowboy, or protector tropes, you’ll enjoy Abduction Cold Case.

I received an advanced reader’s copy from the publisher through Just Read Tours; a positive review was not required.
