We have another exciting character interview for you today. We’re speaking with Daniel, the love interest from His Perfect Match.
I’ll let Daniel tell you about himself.

Q: Introduce yourself to my readers.
My name is Daniel Hutchinson. I’m the pastor at Hope Church.
Q: What’s an “insult” you’ve received that you’re proud of?
A: Shortly after I took over pastoring the church when my father died, there were some who said I wasn’t doing a good job. What they actually said was that I wasn’t my father.
It cut me up you know? Because I loved my dad.
*laughs*
Francis Hutchinson left some big shoes to fill. Then I realized if God had wanted me to be my father, he’d have made me a Francis Hutchinson clone.
He didn’t.
He made me Daniel—which means He has a plan for me. One only I can accomplish by being myself.
Q: If you could go back and give your 18-year-old self one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: Fear God and serve Him while you’re young. Don’t dilute your testimony.
*smiles charmingly*
Oh, and you can’t please everyone, so don’t waste your life trying.
Q: What’s one lesson your job has taught you that you think everyone should learn at some point in their life?
A: That people are going to be people and all of us are in need of grace.
Q: What’s your favorite color, and what does that say about you?
A: Blue. Bright blue.
*smiles*
It says that I love my wife.
Q: If you had to write a book tomorrow, what would you write about?
A: Not to judge people by how they look or what you may think about them. As much as people like to pretend they don’t care what others think about them, they do.
Deeply.
And sometimes our opinions and how we treat them and what we say about them become a weight that presses them down and prevents them from reaching their full potential.
