Welcome to Wacky Wednesday!
What is wacky about this Wednesday, you might ask?
It’s where the characters from my books take over my blog and social media accounts so you can get to know them. Happening every Wednesday until launch day (I think…they’re my characters but I don’t control them.)

I’m getting married. Again.
*huffs out a breath
Let me explain. I got married to my college boyfriend, Maurice, and we had a son. After he…
*lips wobble before she firms them
After he passed, I found out my in-laws were planning to take my son away.
*scoffs
They would have been able to do it too since they have more money than Midas so I ran. I took my son and we disappeared. But they found us. Now I’m fake married to the guy I’d once hoped to marry.
*holds up a hand
I know it sounds complicated. It is, but I’ll have to explain next time.
Who Am I?
So, my name is Gabrielle Wright-Wallace, soon-to-be McPherson. Ugh. At some point, I’m going to have to stop collecting last names.
I think after the wedding I’ll go by Gabrielle McPherson.
*smiles softly
That was the name I thought would have been mine a long time ago. See, Theo and I met when I was in college. I was his sister’s roommate. Every time he came to visit Brianna, she ditched him.
*holds up a hand
She had her reasons. If you want to know what those are, I’d suggest you read His Perfect Match and His Perfect Wife for some of the McPherson backstory.
Anyway, Theo and I had a connection.
*stares out into the distance
I really thought we’d have been together way back then.
*lifts shoulders
Unfortunately, life doesn’t always turn out the way you think it should.
My Deepest Fear
When Theo offered to marry me to help me keep custody of Caleb, I balked. I mean, why would he want to make that kind of sacrifice for me? Marriage is forever.
*smiles with irony
At least it should be. That’s how God designed it. What if we get married and still lose custody of Caleb? Do we stay married?
*sighs
I wish I could tell you that was my deepest fear, but it isn’t. If you want to know the truth, I have many fears about this marriage.
What if we can’t make it work? What if he and Caleb don’t get along or Caleb hates him? What if I fall in love with him again and he doesn’t love me back?
And the worst fear of all?
What if he falls in love with someone else and tells me he wants a divorce? Because truthfully…
There’s always been a little piece of my heart that belonged to Theo. I guess if you want to find out what happens, you can read the book. His Perfect Family releases on May 26, 2023.
