Welcome to Wacky Wednesday!
What is wacky about this Wednesday, you might ask?
It’s where the characters from my books take over my blog and social media accounts so you can get to know them. Happening every Wednesday until launch day (I think…they’re my characters but I don’t control them.)

Hello, I’m Malcolm Hall, but you can call me Mac. They’ve scheduled me to take over Ami’s page today, but I’ll be honest and tell you I have no idea what I’m doing.
I’m pretty sure the reason I’m doing this is that Tonya wants me to. She’s my wife and the mother of my boys and I’m totally in love with her. Anyway, they say I should keep this short, so I’ll be back later.
Who am I?
My sister Keke once called me the stupidest man on earth. She had a point, but I probably shouldn’t have led with that.
*takes a deep breath*
Let me tell you what happened. Once upon a time, I fell in love with a beautiful woman. One who loved me back and wanted to marry me. But…
I broke up with her. I know, I know, hence, the title.
Anyway, I eventually came to my senses, and after much less groveling than expected (according to Keke…there was a lot of drama involved. Too much, as far as I’m concerned.)
I’m told I have to stop here again. Forgive me, I’m a pastor, I’m used to talking for at least an hour at a time…
Why Should You Read This New Series?
I’m back.
The question I’m answering now is why you want to read this new series. This is where I’m going to tell you a bit of Ami’s story.
She’s a reader—can you guess what she likes to read most often? If you said romance, you’d be right. Well, when she was a teenager in church, she was still reading romance, which may not have been the best choice for a young Christian.
But you didn’t come here for a sermon on the dangers of lust, did you? Because I can totally give you my sermon notes on that topic. Err, maybe not. The wife’s giving me the evil eye. Anyway…
The Orange Valley series has characters who struggle with things that may be familiar to you. Now, like you, they make mistakes (refer to my last post for an example). But at some point, they recognize they need Jesus to make it through the trials.
As they work through their struggles, it will encourage you to draw closer to God as you work through your own.
*rolls eyes*
I don’t know why they sent me up here if they’re going to cut me off every time…that’s it for this week, guys. Check back next week for more Wacky Wednesdays.
