Reverence in the Wilderness Review

Reverence in the Wilderness by Andrea Byrd is book three in the Frontier Hearts series. When Keturah’s father dies leaving her alone on the homestead, she has no choice but to find a husband.

Keturah needed a man to help her on the homestead, instead she got Daniel Scott, someone who knew even less about the wilderness than she did.

From the start, there was potential for more between this couple. Both knew what it was like to be rejected and wanted to be loved for themselves.

There were times when Daniel was more of a hindrance than a help to Keturah and your heart goes out to her. Because who hasn’t been in a situation where the person who was supposed to make your life easier actually created more work?

What I loved was that despite his past and the fact that life didn’t look anything like he was used to, Daniel maintained a cheerful outlook and clung to his relationship with God.

I enjoyed seeing the two learn to give each other grace and to draw closer to their Heavenly Father in times of trouble. Reverence in the Wilderness is a sweet story about looking beyond a person’s appearance and offering grace to others.

Readers of Reverence in the Wilderness will be reminded that the love God shows to us should be poured out on others.

If you enjoy woman in peril, marriage of convenience, or redemption stories, check out Reverence in the Wilderness.

I received an advanced reader’s copy from the author as part of her launch team; a positive review was not required.
