Rocky Road, Becky Wade

Rocky Road Review

Rocky Road, by Becky Wade, is book two in the (Sons of Scandal series.

When FBI agent Jude has to work with Gemma for an undercover assignment, he believes it will be an easy assignment. He did not expect his reaction to Gemma or her impact on him.

It took me several chapters to get into this book, but once I did, I enjoyed Jude and Gemma’s story. The two were exact opposites which made aspects of their fake dating relationship entertaining.

Readers will be reminded that unforgiveness separates us from God and can ruin relationships. There was also a theme of being hurt when the church doesn’t act like the body of Christ.

I enjoyed getting a peak into the progression of Jeremiah and Remy’s relationship, and look forward to Max and Sloane’s story.

I received an advanced reader’s copy from the publisher through NetGalley. A positive review was not required.

About Rocky Road: A Sweet “Fake Relationship” Romance (Sons of Scandal Book 2)

FBI Agent Jude Camden handles every aspect of his job with by-the-book professionalism. There’s no reason why his latest assignment—which calls for him to pose as the boyfriend of perfumer Gemma Clare—should be any different.

Except Gemma is different. She’s creative, bold, and feisty. And as soon as she meets Jude, she wants to loosen him up, wrinkle his perfect shirts, and test every ounce of his towering self-control.

The FBI has an iron-clad rule against romances between those working together on operations. Jude’s never met a rule he didn’t respect. But adhering to this one is going to be tough because, as time goes by, he finds Gemma more and more irresistible.

Buckle up! It’s going to be a rocky road.
