The Confession by Judy Corry is the last book in the Eden Falls Academy series. Kiara had been crushing on Nash for a year, ever since they shared an encounter—one he doesn’t remember.
The Confession was filled with teenage angst and enough twists to make it interesting. Kiara and Nash were fun characters, each of whom was dealing with their own baggage.
I liked the way they had parallel issues dealing with, as it gave them a connection beyond the superficial.
Kiara was sweet and caring. She went to extreme lengths to ensure her friend was happy—even at personal cost to herself.
On the surface, Nash, the son of a billionaire, seemed to have everything and to be good at everything. But he had enough struggles to make him human.
His character will remind readers that having money doesn’t exempt a person from having problems. And that the wealthy ought to spend as much time developing their characters as those who have less.
Readers of The Confession will be reminded that they’ll experience hard things, but they had a choice in how they allowed these events to affect them.
The Confession is a young adult novel that did a great job of portraying some of what happens when teens get together, especially when unsupervised. Ms. Corry did a fabulous job of creating realistic depictions while portraying the negative side effects of poor choices without being preachy.
If you enjoy secret identity, love triangle, or billionaire tropes, you may enjoy The Confession.
I received an advanced reader’s copy from the author; a positive review was not required.
About The Confession (Eden Falls Academy)
Would a billionaire’s son ever fall for his maid?
Maybe in a fairytale.
But in real life? I’m not holding my breath.
I’ve always been invisible to Nash Hastings—the beautiful boy I’ve been in love with since one magical night last summer.
A night he doesn’t even remember.
Until an accidental text puts it back on his radar.
But I can’t tell him the girl he met at his family’s garden party is now a housekeeper in his family’s mansion.
Because if he knew it was me he was texting, the fairytale would be over.
I’m no princess and don’t belong in his world.
If only my heart knew its place.
