Table of Contents
Q: What is the title of your book, and what is it about?
Love At Last. It’s about a middle-aged woman trying to get her life back on track after a devastating divorce, losing her business, and moving to a small town.
Publication date: December 11, 2023
Q: What genre is Love At Last?
A: Contemporary Romance
Q: What inspired you to write Love At Last, and how did you come up with the idea for it?
A: Life inspired this book. I was on the verge of divorce. My day job was not doing so well, and I had to make hard choices in order to survive life after divorce. In a sense, this book predicted my future too as I had to move to another city a few months later when the divorce was finalized.
I’m sorry you had to go through this experience. No doubt, there are readers who can relate and will appreciate that you gave them hope in second chances and love.
Q: What themes and tropes are included in Love At Last?
A: It is a sweet, later-in-life contemporary romance. The tropes I used are instalove, cinnamon roll hero, and small-town setting.
Ooh, love these tropes!😍
Q: Who is the ideal reader for Love At Last?
A: I would say anyone, really. My characters are all in their 40s, if that makes a difference.
Women of all ages enjoy seeing themselves portrayed in fiction.
Q: What’s the one thing you want readers to take away from reading Love At Last?
A: That no matter what is happening in life, this too shall pass, and better days are always around the corner waiting for us.
That’s a wonderful reminder.

Q: Share a favorite quote or two from Love At Last.
A: “We have a fierce magnetic field. We keep bumping into each other.”
“That night everything changed for me. I left all that greed behind to find a better life. A life full of colors and laughter.”
Q: Are you a plotter, pantser, or plantser? Share a bit of your writing process.
A: Planster? I don’t plot my books down to every detail. I usually make a rough outline and see where the characters take me. On more than one occasion, my outline is just for show, lol.
Lol. I get this. I do plot to an extent, but the finished project is always different than the initial outline.
Q: How do you handle moments when inspiration seems hard to find?
A: Read books, watch movies. Anything to get my creative juices going.
Yes! Inspiration is all around us. We just need to look for it.

Q: What was the most challenging aspect of writing and publishing? How did you (do you plan to) overcome it?
A: Time. There is simply not enough time to get all my ideas into books. Starting 2025, I made a very ambitious schedule to write and publish as much as I possibly can.
Oh, yes. Time is the equalizing factor for us all. Like you, I have more ideas than I can hope to write in one lifetime.
Q: When you’re writing an emotional or difficult scene, how do you set the mood?
A: Funny enough, I don’t need to set a mood. I usually put myself in that situation, and the words pour out. I should mention that my books are on the light side. So, no hard situations. Just a smidge of heartbreak.
I love this! Readers need books across the spectrum, including light-hearted.
Writing Advice from Kaytee Bradley
Q: If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
A: Don’t overthink it. Just go for it.
This is excellent advice. I wonder if your younger self would have listened.🤔
Q: What would you say to an author who wanted to design their own cover?
A: Research, Research, Research. And then experiment.
Experimentation and research are key for every aspect of the writing process–not just the cover.
Q: What do you need in your writing space to help you stay focused?
A: Music. I love listening to light jazz or even baroque classical music.
Music is great for setting the mood.
Q: If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?
A: Write, write, write.
Oh, the things we didn’t know when we were young. 🤣
Q: What are your suggestions for marketing books and getting them into the hands of new readers?
A: Still working on this one! I’m always open to new ideas and methods.
Lol. Many writers struggle with marketing their books. I think the best thing to do is to focus on one reader at a time and write the best book we can.
Just for Fun

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Why?
A: Beam myself to any part of the world I wanted to go. Quick and easy.
Yes! Teleportation is one of the top superpowers I’d like to have.
Q: If you were not a writer, what would you want to be and why?
A: A photographer. I have always loved taking photos. I even looked into taking photography lessons, but life got in the way…
You never know, maybe you can go back to this–at least as a hobby. Barring that, you can always create a character who’s a photographer and live vicariously through her.
Q: What’s your writing kryptonite–the one thing that can completely derail your progress?
A: My day job. LOL.
Yeah. I get this.🤣😂
Q: If your keyboard could talk, what would it say about your writing habits?
A: Woman! We either gonna be doing spreadsheets or writing love stories… We can’t do both! DECIDE! LOL.
This is hilarious. Your keyboard needs to get in line with the vision. Lol.

Q: What are you working on next?
A: A new instalove series Seaside Charms. Oh, I’m loving this new series. I’ve challenged myself to write 12 books, one book a week. So far so good. LOL.
That’s an ambitious challenge. I wish you all the best.
